CurrentUSANationalDebt.com is devoted to raising awareness of this insidious threat to the future of the country. The simple fact is there is no easy or popular solution to the debt problem. This means our elected officials are loathe to speak about it because to do so is to end a political career. This is why the debt is considered part of the third rail of politics.

It was Winston Churchill who said something to the effect of “The Americans can always be counted on to do the right thing…after they’ve exhausted all other alternatives!” Well, he was and is right when it comes to politics. Politicians will only deal with the debt problem when it is an absolute crisis. By that time that happens, however, it will far to late and we will have suffered so much damage that an curative measures will have little effect. If you doubt this, consider that a debt crisis would be 100 times or more worse than the Great Recession. It took every bullet the government had to get us up off the floor from the GR. It does not have the ammunition to save us from a debt crisis. It just does not.

Instead of ringing our hands about the matter, this site is devoted to motivating you to demand action. Educate yourself on the issue. Don’t believe just what we tell you. Get out there and let your voice be heard. If you don’t, what kind of country will you, your family and friends live in?
